Tory minister's first thought is to ally with the far right!

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/may/14/labour-urges-tory-mps-to-admit-keir-starmer-video-was-doctored

The Tory Minister for Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Patient Safety, Nadine Dorries and Tory MP's, Lucy Allan and Maria Caulfield have no problem siding with the far-right.

After sharing a video from a far-right Twitter account that falsely claimed Keir Starmer obstructed the prosecution of grooming gang members when he led the CPS all three commented at what the video purported to show, with Dorries calling it “revealing”.

What is "revealing" is that they have no problem in accusing a former DPP of an attempt to obstruct justice in what is one of the most horrific crimes there can be. An organised criminal gang trafficking little girls who were essentially to be sold.

Of course, this is all done without any evidence, any sources cited, just a far-right-wing twitter account shouting anything to stir up racial hatred and division.

It is also "revealing" that the Tory party briefed that they had been "spoken to" by the whips office. How very big of you. Was the calculation, “We benefit twice from this. Firstly, we can remotely tell egregious lies about the leader of the opposition”, whilst also ingratiating themselves further with the far-right and all those lovely votes?

After all, the votes of far-right racist, hate mongers that aren’t interested in a democratic society count just the same as any other votes. So what if their “ideology” leads to, at best, the expulsion of whoever they decide should be expelled from the country to the worst possible outcome of extreme violence to eradicate those they don’t even see as human.

Yes, this is all disgusting but the concern we should all have is that those elected to represent UK citizens, that means all of them, not just the ones that have the "right" colour skin, didn't give it a second thought. There was one thought, this benefits me, my party, my team. Doesn't that sound a bit like this is my in-group and those in the out-group, well I don't care about them, what happens to them or how it happens to them?

We need to do more than just accept siding with the far-right gets a bit of a talking to. We need to insist that these people are not fit to represent anyone. They have shown that themselves.

There you go, Nadine Dorries. Now you actually have something to complain about in twitter. You really will be able to tell people how bad you've got it, no matter which way you turn there's always someone trying to get you. It won't be the victimhood you portray but it will actually be someone calling you out for your appalling behaviour and the beliefs that inform it.

UK Government Cowardly Representative says "people are 'addicted' to the furlough scheme"

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/may/07/we-need-to-build-on-the-furlough-scheme-not-cut-it-to-avoid-mass-unemployment A Return to the 80's for the UK? This article, rightly, makes the point that forcing people back to work during a pandemic when the status of who's been infected, who hasn't and if there is anyone resistant to Covid-19 is unknown. That's before we understand exactly what a second and third wave of this will be like and do to the wider community. However, the line that really chimed with me was the opening one: "A senior government source warned yesterday that people are “addicted” to the furlough scheme. “We have to get people back to work,” he said. If you are outside the UK and younger than I, to be honest, that's probably 90% of those reading this, you may not be familiar with the modern industrial history and why a stupid, crass and clearly ignorant comment like that from the ruling class would "chime

What does a community do when it can no longer bear to see its members "legally" murdered?

We all have our problems in life, right? When you have an issue in your life, and we all have them from time to time, at the very least, that’s just life, right? An example of what I’m talking about might be, let’s say, your neighbour upstairs plays loud music all hours of the day or night when they’re off work. You’ve been and spoken with them and they just laughed at you each time. What do you do? You take it up with your landlord, the building supervisor or maybe if it has gotten to an extreme point, the police. At least you’ve got some options, right? Another example perhaps could be, you are being harassed by a guy, shouting names at you, embarrassing you as you go to work, come home from work, take your children to school or the park. Perhaps this time you don’t confront them for a lot of “common sense” reasons. So, perhaps this time you go to take advice from a lawyer or maybe go to the police. Well, at least there’s a choice of who to turn to. What about if every time you go ou
